I met Aaron as a DP on a set and appreciated his focus. Now, he’s expanded to having his own production company. You can see that he’s centering a lot of fun in the process and he’s a great guy to ask about his journey to being a founder.

Aaron and I met when we were first starting our practices. I have been happy to watch from the sidelines as he has grown to have his own production company. He really cares about his projects and he takes the time to improve his craft.

Anna is a gentle soul that cares about her community. She’s also crazy talented. Being able to see her grow into her own person and art has been inspired me to be more bold in how I hold my space. She’s also styled fellow dancers and has an industry focused fashion brand that caters to the needs and challenges of dancers.

Have you ever worked with a person that made you go “Wow, how do you know all of these things?” Yeah, that’s her. Arlene knows so much random and surprisingly important information that truly brings her translations to life. There’s some dry-ass translations out there that totally takes away from my viewing experience. But with Arlene, the translations always feel breathable. Alive. Full. I don’t know how to describe it but she brings a lot of life into the work. Also… Have you ever wanted to tell someone to fuck off in the most professional way? Arlene’s my filter.

I met Betty when she first started building her coaching business. I immediately knew that I wanted her in my corner to help me stay focused and true to my learning and self-exploration in my own practice. She’s an invaluable friend and colleague who tells me the hard truths with empathy. If there’s one person in your life that you need to tell you that you’re an idiot and that you need to do better- it’s her.

Colin was the second talent manager that I’ve worked with and I am so glad to have met him. He’s a bespoke, “creator first” manager that has a passion to help creators make their businesses sustainable from the financial point. When I introduce my clients to him, I know that the creators will always be in good hands as he’s always trying to get creators to grow and diversify.

I had the privilege of working with Daniel when he was still in school and reached out to a client looking for experience/portfolio building. His hunger to learn and grow is unmatched and he also takes a lot of time working on his craft as a translator. One particular hurdle I saw him take on was translating Chinese to Spanish. We had existing English translations for him to work off of but the terms used in Chinese/English were totally missed if you directly translated them into Spanish. He took the time to not only research these terms in their native language but found appropriate Spanish terms to accurate depictions. When he left our team, we found a lot of Spanish viewers lamenting that we no longer provided Spanish translations to our content and it just spoke to the value he brought to the team and community we were serving.

David and I met through working on MWL stuff. His command of the the Chinese language and Malay has been a joy to see in action as he can work incredibly fast and accurately. Do I speak Chinese? No. But do I see the comments on the videos, yes. And I am so glad that I get to watch him give back to his community in this way. His knowledge as a restaurateur and chef has also immensely added to his translations. He bridges the generational Chinese gap for North American born Chinese speakers who are learning their language through his work.

I’ve never been styled before and I have never thought that I needed it…until I met Diamond. She and I started around the same time and we got ourselves onto projects that we had no business being in. But we learned and grew from those experiences. At some point I asked her to style me because I wanted to not just feel comfortable, I wanted to feel confident and stylish. And she experimented on me! Now you can see her work in editorials and upgrading individuals’ closets to reflect their confidence.

Diana is a vibe. From her fashion to her food styling. I love that she has this boss vibe and no one can fuck with her. I first met her on a set for a cookbook and she was stellar. Just looking at the recipe and its content, she came up with multiple looks and allowed the artistic direction to lead the process to the product’s final form. She’s also really involved with the SOHO community here in Berlin and she’s always doing some cool project. Over the years, we have grown a casual friendship where we can celebrate each other and our small victories.

I would describe Emily as a fearless person in her personal life and in her art. Her commentary is striking and reflective. A true shitdisturber and a joy to work with! Her strong leadership will leave a legacy in the Toronto theatre scene and I’m really excited to see what she does next!

Felix is a long time collaborator and friend. He’s seen my practice since highschool and all my cringiest projects. I also had the opportunity to see him grow as an artist as well. I am so proud to say that his dedication to his music and composition has taken him to amazing places. He’s my go to person for film music composition and anything sound equipment related.

Bella and I have connected through an event and she has time and time again shown me her breadth of knowledge about product design. From glasses to bags, you can really see her intentions and thought into every detail. I love her passion for making products that not only make your life fashionable but also make it that little 10% easier. When I work on merch or with products, I check in with her to see if I’m forgetting anything and she usually has one of two tips for me to make the project feel more intentional.

Jasi is my German tutor. She helped me get out of my comfort zone and really tackle my German bad habits. I can always go to her to clarify things that I don’t understand. Her teaching philosophy helps me to learn in my mother tongue. Her patience seems to never run out as I keep asking random questions that allow me to make connections for myself. She has a lot of experience with teaching online and catering to your learning style. I highly recommend her for whenever you need to hone your skills to pass a test!

Jing is a lovely person who has a lot to give to her community. She started as a journalist and we connected over our love of food. She’s currently working on her podcast where she centers Asian-European voices. She’s thorough and insightful. I highly recommend you reach out to her about her journey as she has self published her book as well!

Joanne has been the calm in the storm. She's steadfast in her  management, scheduling, and values. I've never felt so calm and  confident when it came to getting the content out on time with perfect  and personal copy. She's meticulous and focused. I highly recommend her  service to anyone who is ready to up their social media game.

Josie has a level of discipline and patience that I don’t see often in the visual arts world. Her work also speaks to this. I’ve been fortunate enough to meet her through happenstance and I love seeing her art. She’s always open to hear about your projects and can give a great direction for your process.

Joyful, insightful, multifaceted. Juliana can look at where you’re at and help you to articulate the hard parts of your project to the world in an accessible way. I highly recommend her for any major project that needs thoughtful delivery and digital storytelling.

Ever needed someone to be in your corner and give you direction in your pre-productions? June is your person. I met June a handful of times and she has this exciting energy to not only validate your experiences but to point you to a possible direction that you can go from where you’re at. I always thought that she was the Canadian stereotype of being so kind and friendly. But when I was facing a project that felt a bit overwhelming (grant wise), she was on the call advocating for the project- Telling us that it is worth the money we’re asking for. I really needed her energy and push to feel like the work is worth it. She really gave us the second wind in our sails to keep going.

Kelsey was one of the first people I met when I first moved to Berlin. I was in awe of her ability to network and be persistent in her practice as a musician. Later on she moved out of Berlin and went into vocal recording.

She was the first musician that I produced a music video for and she was the first person to ask about my practice as I was trying to find my footing.

She has that natural curiosity about people and being a source of connections as well.

I’m very sensitive to scents. I never thought that I would ever wear perfumes but with Klio’s patience and empathy, she was crafting scents that I could wear and help me understand how I can select scents that work best for me. Each perfume I have bought has been from her because I know how meticulous and mindful she is to each of her creation. She has really opened my eyes to new ways of creativity and experience curation.

Lacy and I met during a project in 2020. We instantly hit it off with topics of art being a place to explore environmental activism. Our friendship grew to more than just art talk. I learned a lot about advocating for myself as a freelancer through her. We practice mutual aid and community building.

She now runs and manages a studio in Berlin but has been taking on a wide range of projects! Check her work out!

My first bigger film break in Berlin was working with Lukas.

His vision for projects are interesting as his documentaries feel like a game of endurance. His work also incorporates a bit of faith into his films so seeing it be presented in the way that he has, it gives a different perspective to the topics.

We’ve had a lot of full and philosophical discussions about our own craft and it’s always refreshing to hear his perspective when I’m trying to find meaning in my own work.

I’m always thankful for him and his family for being so generous to me as I grow.

Primarily known for her Kawaii fashion designs, Melissa is a multifaceted business woman of KULTUR. She’s got experiences in all things small business operations in Germany, being a youtuber, being an influencer, the gaming industry for women, and being an MC for live events.

I always go to her whenever a client needs merchandise to understand the niche workflow and she fills in the knowledge gaps that I never knew I had.

She’s down to earth and can be straightforward with her feedback. I really appreciate her insights whenever I bring a merch project to her.

I met Michael via my first client where we connected over diversifying content. I always appreciated his energy and ideas in our meetings.

No request felt like it was ridiculous. And when he didn’t know the answer, he’d look into it- a personal green flag for any collaborator in the creator space.

I highly recommend Michael if you’re looking to find someone who you can bounce ideas around with.

Nele has been so kind as a collaborator on feminist projects. She has also helped me navigate some of the woes of German grant writing. She has so much knowledge around community organizing and using art as a tool for mobilization. I highly recommend getting a coffee chat with her to pick her brain about such topics.

I always tell my clients and creators that they need to find an editor who they trust and can vibe with. Most importantly, they need to be able to learn your style and emulate your personality. Nicole is one of those folks that I would trust to care about your project and give you critical feedback to make your final project stronger. She’s meticulous in organizing and planning out the post-production; critical skills for your project’s success.

Obi and Salma are very generous and care so much about their work that I can’t NOT recommend them. Their channel has a lot of effort put into it on top of their regular 9-5 job. They are currently not taking on projects but are open for consultation on all things middle eastern cuisine and youtube!

Rebecca is a visual artist based in Toronto and she also works in the film industry specifically in programming. I studied with her during university and we have kept in contact ever since. She has been a source of calm and wisdom whenever I need it. She also gives great workout advice!

Sera is a joyful, gentle soul with a quiet fighting spirit. It’s definitely reflected in her music and community. I have always appreciated the space that she creates. If you’re looking for someone to be a creative collaborator, she’s your go to person in Berlin!

The first thing that I love about Sonni is his energy and positivity. To be fair, I’ve only worked with him once for a shoot but he made this list because not only of his stellar shots but how he changes the set.

We need people like Sonni to help us see the bright side when things feel tough. He really taught me that the situation doesn’t have to be perfect but we’re really responsible for our attitudes too.

Stella has been my VA and research assistant since 2023. She is diligent, thorough, and eager to learn- all qualities that I find endearing and crucial to the success of our projects together. I feel reassured that my projects are fact checked thoroughly and the research is of highest quality.

I’ve started working with Thor as an AI consultant for a project in 2024. He spends a lot of time exploring, experimenting, and coming up with new workflows that I benefit greatly from. He’s my go to guy for any wild ideas I want to try out. He fills the knowledge gaps that I have when the timeline gets tight. I also appreciate him being the chill spirit in the chaos when the timeline gets tight.

On the side, he also does music and music production. Every party where he’s the DJ is a party that you can’t miss!

We met in the theatre community in Toronto. She was so kind to me while I was getting into the industry and she walked me through her experiences of moving to a different country. She gave great tips for me to settle in faster.

I have to admit. I haven’t worked with Christine. But her work is AMAZING and I am obsessed with her work. I think that the scale of work and how much work she gets speaks to her worth ethic. I love seeing her grow and do all these cool projects that are unapologetically Asian and so powerful. Any set team that has her is bound to be a visual banger.

Vic brings so much joy to sets, her work, and her community. I always feel so thankful for her energy and insight to our projects together. She has so many interests that feed into each other and I think her art really reflects her multifaceted personality and interests.

She knows how to make you feel great in front of a camera and her edits always feel sunny and energetic- just like her!

Any production would be lucky to have this gem of an editor on their team. I mean…when I say he’s good- He’s GOOD.

He has all the footage organized in a way that a non-editor can find specific footage, he gets things done on time, he does the heavy lifting without complaint, he’s the quiet and understanding entity that anchors the team.

We’ve been through thick and thin and those experiences could have been infinitely worse if he wasn’t there.

He’s not afraid to advocate for the needs of his teammates and their success. He wrestles the challenges with you and gives opinions/advice when you’re stuck. And his creative eye always made me feel that much more confident in the final product because he was the one stewarding the post-production.

He’s got a lot going on in his mind and excitement for food and design. He’s the wise (not old) sage that has so much knowledge about so many different things that play a part in his work.

Getting my foot into the Asian film community was hard and I didn’t know where to start. Until someone directed me to Đức.
